I am Gurunandan Velumani, a Tamil-speaking Indian with a deep passion for my pursuits and an insatiable curiosity for learning. I prioritize both physical and mental well-being through Yoga and Calisthenics. Cooking, reading, sketching ideas, and creating concept designs are some of my favorite ways to express myself. My strengths lie in my passion, unwavering commitment to my vision, and vivid imagination. While I am an introvert, I see this as a trait that adds depth to my character.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, during which I actively participated in various design and technical competitions, achieving recognition at the national level. After graduation, I joined Flowserve, a leading pump manufacturing company, as a Graduate Engineering Trainee. In this role, I was responsible for verifying the design requirements of drives, particularly motors and turbines. My work experience fueled my interest in design, leading me to pursue higher education in Industrial Design Engineering.

The transition between these fields came with its share of challenges. I initially faced a skills gap, but my persistence drove me to continuously learn and practice. Ultimately, this determination enabled me to overcome obstacles and succeed.
