Picnic, founded in 2015, is a fast-growing Dutch data-driven company that has developed with concept of ‘modern-day milkman’ , a mass-market home delivery system for fast-moving consumer goods. Its main mission is to make grocery shopping simple, fun, and affordable for everyone.

How it works

The diagram on the right represents a simplified version of the supply chain of Picnic.

Design Brief

The plastic cups and seals currently are very vulnerable and highly susceptible to damage which results in spoilage of products during delivery.

The primary packaging solution for Picnic’s dairy products is a resealable multi-serve stand-up pouch.

The transport unit(FEFCO-427) is W 182 x L 352 x H 87 mm and based on the compression test it can be concluded that the maximum load on top can be 85 kg.
