How it works
"How Picnic's supply chain network works?"

Design Brief
"What are the existing problems with Picnic's packaging?"
The plastic cups and seals currently utilized in the packaging of dairy products are very vulnerable and therefore highly susceptible to damage, and can easily be compromised in various ways, particularly during transportation. This results in leakage and subsequent spoilage of the products. In response to this issue, the assignment provided by Picnic is to develop an improved packaging system for these dairy products.
Design Intent
The main focus will be on
- Reducing the vulnerability of the packaging to damage during transportation
- improving the re-closability of the packaging
- minimizing the use of additional materials
- including the use of more sustainable and recyclable materials
- optimizing the distribution layout of the packaging
- a packaging solution that is tailored to the consumer's home use instead of for supermarket shelves
